Golf landmark for Queen Mowah as all is set for her inauguration, Lady Captain of Ibori Golf/Country Club

All roads will on Friday, 17 and Saturday 18th June, 2022, lead to Ibori Golf/Country Club, Asaba, Delta State- Nigeria for the 2022 Lady Captain Day Golf as part of the events for the inauguration ceremony of Queen Chukwunedum Mowah as the club’s Lady’s Captain.

This will be the first major women’s competition to be held at the club this year as the event is scheduled hold goody-bag on Friday, upon arrival of arrays of dignitaries and fellow golfers to celebrate this prestigious occasion.

Traditionally most golf clubs are made up of men and women branches, with different captains selected to lead each but Queen Mowah is leading the Ladies golfers.

The Lady Captain’s inauguration will be honoured with ceremonial 18-hole competition and delicious breakfast before the formal Inauguration Ceremony.

Down-to-earth Queen Mowah is the Founder of Chinedum Asanobi Foundation and the CEO of Quinbro Ventures.

Looking forward, Lady Captain Mowah hoped that 2022 would bring great golf and provide special memories.

She recounts with fondness her golfing firsts– her first time stepping out on the course; her first beginner’s prize; her first open competition win, before turning to a more recent golfing achievement.

In a life filled with meaning and accomplishment, Queen Mowah has emerged as one of the most iconic and compelling women of the era, while also establishing herself as a powerful advocate for women and elderly in Nigeria, dramatically changing the ways that families treat the elderly.

A lady golfer said Queen Mowah would make a wonderful Lady Captain and urged her to make 2022 her year and enjoy it, make great memories and shine. She said the Ladies would all support her as their Lady Captain and she offers their best wishes.”
