The meeting, marked by a spirited atmosphere, was centered on the APC’s vision to take control of Anambra State in the upcoming elections. Comrade Ebube reaffirmed the party’s commitment to this goal, stating that the executive committee has laid out a strategic plan to bring APC’s ideals directly to the grassroots in Ekwulobia Ward 1.

A key highlight of the gathering was the inauguration of a new four-man village executive committee, which includes positions for the village chairman, secretary, youth leader, and women’s leader, ensuring representation in every village within the ward. This initiative is part of the party’s strategy to enhance community engagement and strengthen its local structure.

Among the notable decampees was Mrs. Grace Nwagba, the former APGA woman leader of Aguata LGA, who expressed her enthusiasm about joining the APC, citing the importance of aligning with a party that holds sway at the national level.

The meeting was attended by several influential figures, including the Aguata Local Government Chairman of APC, Hon. Godson Anyadike (Ebubeagu), and Ward Chairman Mr. Chidi Eze. Hon. Anyadike urged the new members to exercise patience as President Bola Tinubu implements his economic reforms, assuring them that the country would soon experience positive changes.

Highlighting the critical issue of voter turnout, Hon. Benjamin Benmore stressed that the low turnout seen in previous elections should not repeat itself in Ekwulobia Ward 1. He called upon all members present to mobilize their communities to ensure a robust voter turnout in the next election.

Other prominent stakeholders in attendance included Hon. Azubuike Okafor, Hon. Onyebuchi Igbokwe, and Hon. Abonze Ebeteghete, who collectively underscored the party’s determination to make a substantial impact in the upcoming elections. Host Aka Ichie Genesis Nwagba Onwubiko welcomed attendees, expressing confidence that the APC is firmly established in both Okpo village and Ekwulobia Ward 1.

As the APC continues to expand its influence in Anambra, the reception of new members signifies a pivotal moment in the party’s quest for leadership in the state, laying the groundwork for what could be a transformative election year in 2025.
