It would be recalled that the prime suspect, Andrew Ochekwo in the case of two girls (Celine Ndudim and Afiba Tandor), is reported to have died while he was being transported to Abuja by the police.

Not much was known about Andrew, but a close friend of his named, Ben Samuel, who is a journalist gave details about, who Andrew really was and how he was a mentally unstable person. Ben made this known in a live video interview with Nigerian media personality, Daddy Freeze.

According to Ben Samuel, he said he had known Andrew for 10 years and even when Andrew was in Nigeria, he visits him when he comes to Port Harcourt. He said he was speaking to debunk the rumours of Andrew belonging to syndicate, but rather saying that he had mental health issues, an exconvict and wanted in the UK. He claims he didn’t know Andrew was wanted but knew he was an ex-convict.

He also said Andrew was born in the UK and that he was adopted by Nigerian parents that brought him to Nigeria, where he spent sometime while growing up before he moved back to the United Kingdom.

While Andrew was in the UK, he has a very successful businessman and an engineer, his company had to do with management of council properties in Buckinghamshire, including schools in the UK. He had many workers that he paid thousands of Pounds each yearly.

Andrew continue to operate his businesses, but according to Ben Samuel, he was mentally unstable and it made him to physically assault a woman in the UK, which made him to go to prison. After he spent about 2 years he lost his business although he still had some properties and money. He later moved to Nigeria in 2021 to begin a new life because according to Ben he could not travel or any Western country because of his record. In Nigeria , he was running a company known as the Black Sheep Group involved in betting and investment of some sort. In the first three months he was in Nigeria, he got arrested for assaulting a girl in Port Harcourt, but was later released. Whenever he commits a crime, he always finds his way around the police and even had a gun licence in 2022 while he was in Nigeria.

In one of the case a lady was said to have been thrown out of a balcony in Port Harcourt by Andrew and while he was in police custody, he still had his phone and always called Ben Samuel to give him some details of the case. In some situations Ben Samuel said Andrew claimed one of the girls tried to steal his wrist watch and jumped off the balcony.

However in late April another incident involving 2 girls Celine and Afiba led to the arrest of Andrew in May and while he was in police custody, it was rumoured that he still had his phone and for the weeks he was in police custody the police could not get him to say what happened to Celine and Afiba, despite claims of evidence that the girls were in his house in his house after some of their belongings were found there.

The story was that he tried to escape and got shot by some vigilante man, who are in police custody in Abuja.
