Obi of Aboh Marks One-Year Coronation Anniversary, Urges Chiefs to Uphold Unity and Peace

…confers chieftaincy titles on deserving indigenes

The Obi of Aboh Kingdom in Ndokwa East Local Government Area of Delta State, His Imperial Majesty, Obi , Dr. Greg Nnamdi Oputa III, has conferred Chieftaincy titles on deserving members of the Kingdom as part of activities to mark his first coronation anniversary.

Obi Dr Greg Oputa  III charged the newly installed chiefs to be above board at all times and always endeavor to promote the overall interest of the throne and kingdom at large.
He said the honour was a mark of recognition for their outstanding contributions towards the development of the kingdom urging his chiefs and subjects to remain united, peaceful, and loyal to the throne.

Obi Oputa III emphasized the importance of loyalty, discipline, and mutual respect between the monarch and his cabinet.

He stressed that no meaningful progress, peace, or development could thrive where there is conflict between the king and his chiefs, urging them to maintain a strong personal and official relationship with the throne.

The monarch also demonstrated his appreciation to the women of the kingdom by donating ₦500,000, alongside the distribution of bags of rice and garri.

In an apparent show of gratitude, the women eulogized the Monarch offering prayers for God’s continued guidance, long life, and a prosperous reign for the Obi.

Among those conferred with chieftaincy titles were:
Chief Ifeanyi John (aka Livingstone) – Izomo Onyia of Aboh Kingdom
High Chief Kenneth Odili-Ajie – Ozea of Aboh Kingdom
High Chief Paul Nnamdi Esume – Ndanike I of Aboh Kingdom
Also honoured was the Special Adviser to the Governor of Delta State, Chief Edwin Uzor, who received the title of Ocho- Udo 1 of Aboh kingdom at the impressive ceremony.

Speaking separately, the newly installed chiefs expressed profound gratitude and pledged unwavering loyalty to His Imperial Majesty.

Chief Victor Iyama, the Uzi of Aboh Kingdom, pledged to uphold the rules and traditions of the kingdom, promote peace, and shun all acts capable of causing crisis, while supporting the Obi’s vision for development.
Similarly, Chief Kenneth Odili-Ajie, the Ozea of Aboh Kingdom, assured that the chiefs would work tirelessly to sustain peace and harmony across Aboh Kingdom.

The ceremony was witnessed by important dignitaries from across the country including a former Inspector General of Police, Chief Mike Okiro and the immediate past General Manager of Delta Broadcasting Service, Asaba , Mr Frank Whyte Osabohien among others.
