The Delta people are angry at Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, says Senator Peter Nwoboshi , representing Delta North at the Nigeria Senate.

“They are angry that the State is collapsing because Okowa’s administration lack people orientated projects and high-handed;, they are angry that unemployment is sky high, that million people lack access to health  and that.many families can’t afford  for their kids.”

Senator Nwoboshi made the assertion after he was declared winner of the All Progressive Congress Senators primaries held in Asaba, Delta State.

Senator Nwoboshi remains a super senator in the Nigeria legislative chamber. He has focused on rebuilding the nation’s crumbling infrastructure, he has championed efforts to transform oil-rich Niger Delta State.

“And we should be very proud of what we’ve managed to accomplish this past year and giving another opportunity, we will do greater, he said.

Continuing, the visibly happy Senator added, “Together we have transformed our constituency.  We have gained major steps forward in the never-ending struggle for economic justice, social justice, racial justice and environmental justice

“People are furious, the senator added, “that Delta State Governor has mortgaged the State with loans while millions of hard working Deltans are impoverished  as a result of the greed, recklessness spending of the State Government.”

Nwoboshi is projected to win the Delta North Senatorial seat because of his outstanding achievements in the past four years as a Senator.

Endorsed in the race by constituent who voted during the party primary, Nwoboshi is hoping to return to the senate in 2023.

Incumbent APC Senator Nwoboshi was voted without challengers as he seeks to retain his Senate seat later this year against his People Democratic Party opponent, Ned Nwoko.
