Abuja, NIGERIA — With the Anambra 2025 gubernatorial elections on the horizon, the founder of Rojenny Games Village, Oba Anambra Anambra, Chief Rojenny Ezeonwuka (Ogilisi Igbo) has called upon all political candidates to approach the election season with a sense of decorum.

Speaking to journalists, Ezeonwuka emphasized the importance of maintaining civility during media interactions and campaign activities. He urged candidates to refrain from incitive comments that could lead to discord among the electorate.

“Politics should be about ideas and solutions, not destructive criticism. Candidates must focus on selling their manifestos to the people of Anambra instead of attacking the achievements of the incumbent All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) government,” Ezeonwuka stated. He expressed strong confidence in the APGA’s hold on the governorship seat, asserting that the party cannot be defeated.

The incumbent Governor Charles Soludo of APGA is seeking re-election, alongside other notable figures in the State.

Ezeonwuka reflected on the ideological foundations of the APGA, linking its philosophy directly to the legacies of the late Ikemba, Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu. He stated, “APGA is not merely a political party, but the embodiment of the aspirations of the Igbo people. Our ideology is deeply rooted in the vision and founding principles laid down by Ojukwu.”

In recent months, the political atmosphere in Anambra has been charged with anticipation as candidates prepare for their campaigns. Ezeonwuka called on candidates to rise above personal attacks and negative rhetoric that hinder constructive political discourse.

“There is a commendable shift in the political landscape, and I expect the candidates to promote their individual visions for the betterment of Anambra. The focus should be on developmental agendas and how they intend to enhance the quality of life for Ndi Anambra,” he articulated.

Ezeonwuka also took the opportunity to remind politicians about the significance of fostering unity among the constituents. “As we approach the elections, it is imperative for all of us—candidates, party officials, and supporters alike—to cultivate an environment of respect and solidarity. We owe it to ourselves and to our future generations.”

As the candidates ramp up their campaign strategies, the political terrain in Anambra remains dynamic. The emphasis on positive campaigning, as highlighted by Ezeonwuka, offers a roadmap for candidates aiming to resonate with voters. The political narrative is expected to intensify with each campaign rally and media appearance as candidates pivot toward enhancing their visibility among the electorate.

With Chief Ezeonwuka’s strong endorsement of the APGA and its ideological connection to the Igbo people, the party appears poised to maintain its influence in Anambra’s political landscape. Voters now await the unfolding political narratives leading up to the crucial elections.
