The National Working Committee of party appointed Umar Damagum, to oversee the affairs of the party in acting capacity.
National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Debo Ologunagba, announced this at a press conference on Tuesday, at the party’s secretariat.
Damagun, Deputy National Chairman, (North) will replace Iyorchia Ayu as the national chairman of the party, following Ayu’s suspension.
Recall that a High Court in Makurdi, the Benue state capital, had restrained embattled Ayu from parading himself as chairman of the party pending the determination of the substantive suit which has been adjourned to April 17, 2023 for hearing
