An alleged terrorist commander has issued new threats against Nigeria, declaring that his group will soon begin targeting military officers, state governors, and even President Bola Tinubu for abduction.
In a viral video, according to Saharareporters, the armed militant — wearing what appeared to be a Nigerian military jacket — boasted about recent kidnappings of schoolchildren in Kebbi and Niger states.
The terrorist, whose identity was not immediately confirmed, said they are unfazed by recent arrests made by security forces.

According to him, the Nigerian government had failed in its responsibility to protect citizens.
“Everyone has woken up. We kidnapped school students in Kebbi State and Niger State. Next time, we will be kidnapping Nigerian military officers and taking them to the forest,” he said in the video.
Pointing to the jacket he wore, he continued: “Look at the clothes I’m wearing — they belong to a soldier. Nigeria, in the days ahead, we will kidnap a governor, we will kidnap the President, and others.”
The terrorist further claimed that Nigerians should place their hopes in divine protection rather than the government, insisting that authorities could not guarantee safety.
“We are not concerned that they have arrested anyone. The government cannot secure you. You people should return to God to protect you, answer your wishes, and wipe the tears from your eyes,” he said.
He ended the recording by greeting his followers on social media, saying, “No one among the big men can wipe your tears. We have woken up. I greet all of you on social media. Have a pleasant day.”

Boko Haram Faction Beheads Two Women
Fighters belonging to the Boko Haram faction loyal to Ali Ngulde have reportedly beheaded two women in the Mandara Mountain axis of Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State after accusing them of engaging in shirk (idolatry).
Shirk is an Islamic term that refers to the sin of associating partners with Allah or attributing divine qualities to anyone or anything other than Allah.
Sources familiar with the activities of insurgents in the area told counter-insurgency expert, Zagazola Makama, that the victims were intercepted during a routine search conducted by the terrorists around their mountain settlements.
According to the sources, the insurgents claimed the women were caught with charms (layu), which they immediately interpreted as evidence of “forbidden practices”.
Makama reported that the women were dragged before the faction’s makeshift “trial” system, where the terrorists summarily declared them guilty.
According to Makama, in a video of the incident that was obtained, they accused the women of practising shirk after they found some charms on them.
“The terrorists took them to a secluded part of the mountains and executed them after the so-called trial,” the source was quoted as saying.
He added that the execution was carried out publicly in the presence of fighters and civilians living under the group’s control, in a bid to instill fear and ensure strict obedience to the faction’s hardline doctrines.
Zagazola further reported that the Ali Ngulde’s faction has recently intensified brutal punitive measures against individuals accused of sorcery, spying, or attempting to defect from the group.
