It has come to our attention that the Who’sWho Africa award presented to Brigadier General Bashir Adewinmbi (Rtd) is not authentic. This award was neither sanctioned nor authorized by Time Africa Magazine’s board management. The claim that the award was presented by Okorie Chidipeters, the Editor-In-Chief, is based on impersonation. (See publication by News Express Nigeria: https://newsexpressngr.com/news/210729/osun-amotekun-corp-commander-bags-whos-who-in-africa-award).

We apologize for any confusion or inconvenience this may have caused to Brigadier General Adewinmbi and all parties involved. The legitimate process for awarding the Who’sWho Africa accolade involves a thorough vetting and selection procedure by Time Africa Magazine board, which assesses nominees based on their contributions, achievements, and impact.

Regrettably, the award to Brigadier General Adewinmbi (Rtd) was not part of this process. Impersonators posing as Time Africa Magazine’s Editor-In-Chief fraudulently issued this award.

We deeply regret any confusion and assure that we are committed to maintaining the integrity of Time Africa Magazine’s awards.
