Before his election, Nwachukwu serves as the Delta State/South-South Chairman of the Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria (ASCSN) as well as the Delta State/South-South Chairman of Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC), where he was instrumental in implementing robust financial controls and improving leadership trails of the labour unions. His work in these capacity not only streamlined financial operations but also earned him accolades for enhancing transparency and combating corruption.

Speaking to Time Africa shortly after his election in Lagos, Comrade Nwachukwu outlined his vision for his new role. He emphasized the need for a comprehensive review of current auditing practices and the introduction of innovative methods to strengthen financial oversight within ASCSN. “My primary objective is to ensure that every naira of our members’ contributions is accounted for with the highest level of precision and transparency,” he stated. “I am committed to fostering a culture of financial integrity and openness.”
