Abuja, NIGERIA — In a heartwarming display of charity and compassion, Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) Dr. Usman Abdul-Dimka, a senior officer with the Nigerian Interpol in Abuja, has joined forces with the Pzafaama Helping Hand Foundation to provide Iftar meals to underprivileged children in the city during the holy month of Ramadan.
Every evening, CSP Abdul-Dimka and his team distribute freshly prepared meals to children who would otherwise go without. Their mission is to ensure that the most vulnerable members of society, particularly children, are not left hungry at sunset when they break their fast. The Foundation, established by the Dimka family, has been providing over 120 meals daily across various Abuja neighborhoods, spreading a message of hope and solidarity.
The initiative, which will continue throughout Ramadan, is part of the Foundation’s broader goal of alleviating hunger among the most vulnerable communities. Special emphasis is placed on feeding children, who are often the hardest hit during periods of economic hardship. The Foundation’s outreach has quickly become a symbol of kindness and generosity in Abuja, offering both nourishment and a sense of community during this sacred time.
In a further demonstration of compassion, CSP Abdul-Dimka also extended his generosity to Christian children who are currently observing the Lenten period of 40 days. Recognizing the shared value of sacrifice and reflection in both religious traditions, he and the Foundation have been providing meals to Christian children, ensuring they too are supported during this period of fasting.
Princess Dimka, the co-founder of Pzafaama Helping Hand Foundation and wife of CSP Abdul-Dimka, expressed the deep fulfillment her family finds in serving humanity. “Service to humanity is our fulfillment in this life, Insha’Allah. Jazakhallahu Khairan,” she said, emphasizing that giving back during Ramadan is not only a religious duty but also a source of personal satisfaction.
The Dimka family’s commitment to social justice and community service is evident in the direct involvement of both CSP Abdul-Dimka and his wife in the daily distribution of meals. “This project stems from the desire of my family to support needy families and provide food during this Ramadan period,” said CSP Abdul-Dimka. His dedication to the initiative reflects his long-standing values of community service and empathy.
As Ramadan continues, the Pzafaama Helping Hand Foundation’s efforts are gaining widespread recognition for their consistency and impact. Through their outreach, the Dimka family hopes to inspire others to contribute to creating a more compassionate society. The Foundation’s work in Abuja exemplifies the spirit of giving and solidarity that defines the holy month of Ramadan.
