Delta Public Procurement Council Chairman, David Igbodo, Hails Gov Oborevwori On Governor Of The Year Award

The Chairman of the Delta State Public Procurement Council, Barr. David Igbodo (AIG Rtd), has extended his heartfelt congratulations to the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, on his recent recognition as Governor of the Year by Arise Television.

Barr. Igbodo described the award as a well-deserved honor, noting that it is a reflection of Governor Oborevwori’s visionary leadership, unwavering commitment to excellence, and relentless dedication to the progress and transformation of Delta State. He emphasized that the governor’s leadership continues to yield remarkable results across various sectors, aligning seamlessly with the administration’s MORE agenda, which focuses on Meaningful Development, Opportunities for All, Realistic Reforms, and Enhanced Peace and Security.

In a statement personally signed by him, Barr. Igbodo reaffirmed the Public Procurement Council’s unwavering support for the governor’s policies, particularly those that promote transparency, accountability, and efficiency in governance.

He stated, “As the Chairman of the Delta State Public Procurement Council, I am proud to align our efforts with your administration’s goals and ideals, which are rooted in accountability, fairness, efficiency, and value for money. Your example continues to inspire us to remain steadfast in our mission to support the growth and prosperity of our dear state. Under your leadership, Delta State has continued to experience a new era of prudent governance, infrastructural renewal, and economic expansion, all of which have set a benchmark for sustainable development.”

The Public Procurement Council Chairman further noted that Governor Oborevwori’s strategic policies under the MORE agenda have led to significant improvements in governance, fiscal discipline, and inclusive development. He highlighted the administration’s impact on infrastructural development, human capital investment, and socio-economic empowerment, reaffirming that these strides have positioned Delta State as a model for good governance in Nigeria.

Barr. Igbodo expressed confidence that with Governor Oborevwori at the helm, Delta State will continue on its upward trajectory towards greater prosperity, stability, and inclusive growth. He called on all stakeholders, institutions, and the people of Delta State to remain committed to supporting the governor’s vision of a more progressive and economically viable state.

The Governor of the Year award conferred by Arise Television is widely recognized as a prestigious honor, reserved for leaders who have demonstrated outstanding governance, innovation, and impact in public service.
