Abuja, NIGERIA — Chief Uchenna Okafor, the Delta State Director General of the Taskforce and Monitoring of the Commercial Motorcycle and Tricycle Operators Association (COMTOA), along with members of the association, extended their congratulations to His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, Executive Governor of Delta State, following his recognition as Governor of the Year by ThisDay Newspaper and Arise TV.

The award is a significant acknowledgment of the governor’s leadership and achievements in the state, especially through his MORE AGENDA. This agenda has been a major part of Governor Oborevwori’s approach to governance and development in Delta State. Through this initiative, he has focused on creating opportunities for the people of Delta State, driving infrastructural growth, and fostering economic empowerment across various sectors, including education, healthcare, and transportation.

In his remarks, Chief Okafor praised Governor Oborevwori’s exceptional leadership, which has brought about tangible improvements to the state. He commended the governor’s tireless efforts to ensure that Delta State moves forward in all areas of development. Specifically, Chief Okafor pointed out the positive impact of the MORE AGENDA on the commercial transportation sector, where policies have been introduced to better regulate motorcycle and tricycle operations, improving safety and order within the industry.

The recognition of Governor Oborevwori as Governor of the Year by ThisDay Newspaper and Arise TV underscores the governor’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and the overall progress of Delta State. His efforts in driving infrastructure projects, improving education, healthcare, and creating job opportunities for the youth have been key highlights of his administration. Under his leadership, the state has witnessed improved governance that prioritizes the welfare of its citizens.

Members of COMTOA also expressed their appreciation for the governor’s attention to their sector. They highlighted the positive changes that have come about through his policies, including improved safety for both riders and passengers. The regulation of commercial transportation in the state has been a crucial aspect of the MORE AGENDA, as it addresses road safety issues, traffic management, and the welfare of the operators. Under the governor’s leadership, the state has made remarkable strides in development, which have had far-reaching effects on all residents, including the transportation sector.

In conclusion, the congratulatory message from the COMTOA Taskforce and Monitoring Chairman, along with other members of the association, was not only a celebration of Governor Oborevwori’s prestigious Governor of the Year award but also a reaffirmation of the bond between his administration and the people of Delta State.
