Don Amamgbo: An Intentional Leader With A Vision To Drive A Positive Change

The unfortunate death of Sen. Ifeanyi Ubah created a vacuum in Anambra South Senatorial District and the vacuum is begging to be filled for the zone to take back its place within the scheme of things in the Nigerian Senate.

As at today, a number of Men from Anambra South are jostling for the tickets of various political parties, fighting for that singular Senate seat.

Anambra South is a home of notable Anambra Elites who are grounded in business, manufacturing and above all, sound education. It is therefore pertinent that whoever that will replace Sen. Ifeanyi Ubah should be evaluated holistically for effective and efficient representation at the Senate.

We have seen the calibre of men who are coming out for Anambra South Senatorial election, they are all illustrious Sons of the Zone, any of them can comfortably sit in the Red Chamber to complete the business of the 10th Assembly. The question is; who among the illustrious Sons coming will understand the business of lawmaking considering the peculiarities of Nigeria’s political landscape.

It is not enough to sit on the floor of the Senate while legislative businesses go on, having proper understanding of legislative engagement processes is more important. Anybody can sit down and take pictures in the Senate while others take elephant shares to their various constituencies.

A number of the Candidates can boast of the charity works they do before the camera as the only qualification they have to represent the people at the Senate. Being a camera based philanthropist shouldn’t be the only criteria for legislative representation. Sound education, passion to drive positive change and intentionality to lead with 21st century vision should be a focus point.

Among all the candidates, one man stands out as someone who has all the necessary qualities to represent the South Senatorial District. He is Barr. Chidi Donald Amamgbo.

Why do I think so??

1. Sound Education: Amamgbo is a graduate of the University of Maiduguri with an LL.B and has furthered his education with an Advanced Diploma in Business Law and a Barrister-at-Law certification from the Nigerian Law School.

Barr. Chidi Amamgbo is also a member of the California State Bar and the United States District Court.

No doubt, his legal background with international exposure has placed him far above the rest of the candidates whose educational background needs VAR to dictate and expose. I strongly believe that Anambra South has long passed that level.

2. Verifiable Career/Businesses: Barr. Chidi Amamgbo is one of the leading oil magnets in Igbo. His investments in real estate, construction and agriculture are verifiable.

He is a man who knows how to fish and he is ready to teach the youths of Anambra South how to catch fishes. He has been doing so for years without the cameras.

3. Philanthropic Activities: Barr. Amamgbo has constructed over 10 kilometers of roads in Ihiala. It is on records that he has provided scholarships to underprivileged children from Ihiala and beyond. The boreholes he provided for various remote communities for them to have clean water are still running.

Just as Ifeanyi Ubah did Barr. Amamgbo has also built a magnificent Cathedral for the Anglican Church in Ihiala.

He has lifted a lot of young people from poverty within his community and his human capital development initiative is top notch.

All these he did and kept doing without the cameras.
Go and verify!!

4. Leadership Vision: Amamgbo aims to prioritize infrastructure, education, youth empowerment and all round human capital development if elected as a Senator of Federal Republic.
He has the capacity and the reach to attract investments and drive sustainable development across the zone, leveraging his experience as a policy consultant, legal practitioner and above all an oil magnet.

5. Community Engagement: Barr. Chidi Amamgbo is a household name in Ihiala Local Government and other communities within the Senatorial Zone. Though he believes in doing great things in a very humble and modest way, the sound of his goodness goes beyond the shores of Anambra South.

Since he was encouraged by noble Stakeholders in Anambra to contest for the Senatorial seat, he has been engaging with Labour Party stakeholders in Anambra, emphasizing the need for accountability, transparent communication, and inclusive governance.

These are what Donald Amamgbo stands for. This is why he is Okosisi Ihiala!!!

Overall, Barr. Chidi Donald Amamgbo’s blend of legal expertise, business acumen, and philanthropic endeavors positions him as a potential transformative leader for Anambra South. His commitment to service and community development has earned him admiration and support from many constituents.

Even his opponents admire the great and unquantifiable potentials in him that one of them privately said that he wished Amamgbo wins this seat so that Anambra South will experience yet another robust and efficient legislative representation at the Senate.

May the best take the seat.
Amamgbo is the best!!
