Abuja, NIGERIA — Dr. Chief Uche Nworah, President of Charlton Business School, celebrated Chief Olisa Metuh (Akajiugo) on his 60th birthday on November 30, 2025. The event recognized Metuh’s significant contributions to Nigeria’s political landscape.

During the celebration, Dr. Nworah praised Metuh’s robust legacy in political discourse, stating, “Chief Metuh’s contributions have created pathways for many and have solidified a framework of public service deeply rooted in integrity and accountability.” He acknowledged that even after stepping back from frontline politics, Metuh’s influence continues to inspire generations of politicians.

Metuh is known for his vocal advocacy on various social and economic issues, as well as his philanthropic efforts that have uplifted numerous communities. His career, spanning decades, has made him a prominent figure in Nigeria, attracting peers and citizens eager to honor his achievements.

The event attracted a number of political heavyweights, reflecting Metuh’s lasting impact on the country’s political landscape, even as he reduces his active involvement in partisan politics. Dr. Nworah emphasized that a true statesman is defined not just by their political tenure but by the enduring legacy they leave behind.
