Enugu Assembly set to clear Prince Lawrence Ezeh, 14 others as Commissioners

The Enugu State House of Assembly it set to clear 15 Commissioner-nominees presented by the state governor, Dr. Peter Mbah.

Enugu Governor nominees include include Lawrence Ezeh (Prince Of Mburubu), Barr. Lloyd I. Ekweremadu, Okey Ogbodo, Aka Eze Aka, and others as Commissioners.

The Speaker of the House, Uche Ugwu, read out the names during a session, indicating that the Governor’s nominations were now officially before the legislative body for consideration.

The list is braced with prominent figures from various sectors to aid in the development and progress of the state.

The list, signed by the Secretary of the state government, Professor Chidiebere Onyia, showcases a diverse group of nominees with expertise in different fields.

The SSG noted that “this isn’t the complete list and appealed for their speedy consideration.

“While this may not be the exhaustive list, I’m optimistic that this request will receive your usual expeditious consideration”

The list of nominees is as follows:

1. Professor Ndubueze Mbah
2. Mrs. Ngozi Eni
3. Prince Lawrence Eze (Prince of Mburumbu)
4. Professor Sam Ugwu
5. Pharmacist Chika Ugwoke
6. Dr. Kingsley Ude
7. Professor Emmanuel I.
8. Deacon Okey Ogbodo
9. Ben Ugochi Madueke
10. Barr. Lloyd I. Ekweremadu
11. Engr. Gerrald Otiji
12. Nathaniel Urama
13. Dr. Malachy Agbo
14. Mr. Aka Eze Aka
15. Ada Chukwu

The Governor, who said the appointment is an exercise of the powers conferred on him by Section 192, subsection 2 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 as amended, said he would greatly appreciate it if early action is taken by the house to consider and confirm the nominees.

The House of Assembly is expected to thoroughly examine the qualifications and experience of the nominees to ensure that the chosen candidates can effectively contribute to the progress and prosperity of Enugu State.
