Enugu LGA Election: Nnolim Nnaji Congratulates Nkanu East, Nkanu West Chairmen

Enugu, NIGERIA – In a significant show of democratic engagement, Rt. Hon. Nnolim Nnaji, the esteemed representative for the Nkanu East/West Federal Constituency, has extended heartfelt congratulations to Hon. Sydney Okechukwu Edeh and Hon. John Chukwuma Ogbodo following their victories as Chairmen of Nkanu East and Nkanu West Local Government Areas, respectively.

Hon. Sydney Okechukwu Edeh was re-elected as Chairman of Nkanu East Local Government Area with Hon. Paul Okwor continuing as his deputy. In Nkanu West, Hon. John Chukwuma Ogbodo assumed the role of Chairman, alongside his deputy, Hon. Friday Nnam. Together with all 28 elected councillors will spearhead governance efforts in their respective LGAs.

Hon. Nnaji characterized the electoral victories as a powerful affirmation of the trust the community places in its leaders. “Your triumph is not just for the PDP but for the hopes and aspirations of our people,” he stated, expressing confidence in their capacity to deliver the promised dividends of democracy.

In his congratulatory message, Hon. Nnaji outlined key priorities for the new leadership, emphasizing the importance of community welfare, inclusive governance, and infrastructure development. He encouraged the leaders to focus on empowering youth and women through education and skills training, while also committing to transparency and accountability in governance.

Hon. Nnaji called for unity and collaboration among all stakeholders, urging the newly elected officials to work closely with traditional rulers and community leaders. “To achieve our collective goals, it is essential that you work harmoniously with all segments of our communities,” he noted.

Pledging his support, Hon. Nnaji affirmed his commitment to attracting federal resources to aid local development. He outlined his legislative agenda, which includes infrastructure development, education, healthcare, economic empowerment, and social welfare.

Looking forward, Hon. Nnaji expressed eagerness to collaborate with the new leadership to develop strategic plans aimed at improving living standards and enhancing economic opportunities within Nkanu East and West.

As the new officials prepare to take office, there is a palpable sense of optimism in the community regarding the potential for positive change and development under their leadership.

The congratulatory message which he personally signed reads:
