With his eyes on service to God and humanity, General Overseer of Omega Power Ministries (OPM) and King of Ikwuorie Community in Abia State – Nigeria, His Royal Majesty King Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere may have broken the Guinness World Records.

The incredible Apostle filled with ideals and morals that benefits people around the world, singlehandedly built and runs efficiently the only world’s free school for children born with autism and Down syndrome.

Called the OPM Free School for Autism and Down Syndrome in Port Harcourt, Nigeria, since its establishment three years ago, beneficiaries who are merely children are in their numbers. They fine a new home with the Apostle who take them in as his children.

In Nigeria, hundreds of children are born with autism every year. These children with special need are not diagnosed and managed at early stage, instead their families and society stigmatize them, deny them formal and inform education – they suffer great health loss and die.

Some are dehumanized by parents due to the shame of having a child with intellectual/cognitive disability, while some suffer from the menace of cultural beliefs, superstitions and myths as they are being called witches, imbeciles, fools etc.

Many a times, number of them have been murdered by their own parents, to avoid the embarrassment or shame of having such children in their homes.

According to the World Health Organization, one in 160 children live with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) worldwide.

The man of God has gone out of his way to engage medical consultant and physiotherapists for their continual examination and treatment.

It is also on record that some autistic and down’s syndrome pupils in OPM free school have recovered and taken to the normal school.

Ihie 1 of Ikwuorie Autonomous community has spent huge amount of resources to put the structures in place and equiped the school to meet international standard. He employed qualified and experienced teachers who are doing their best to put the students at the right part.

Recall also that the man of God built 34 state-of-art free schools in Nigeria, Benin Republic and Egypt while over 8,000 less privileged Nigerians have benefitted from his international university scholarship initiatives.

He is adored for his selfless dedication to the welfare of the vulnerable children and those in dire need.

The incredible compassion, steadfast understanding and persistent determination that pushed him to icon status in the fight against poverty has is a legacy that continues to inspire people of all ages.
