In Nigeria, King Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere Leads the Charge on International Literacy Day, Build More Free Schools

As the world observes International Literacy Day, a spotlight is cast on the critical role of literacy in fostering global understanding and peace. Established by UNESCO, this annual event advocates for literacy as a fundamental human right and a cornerstone for personal and societal development. This year’s theme, “Promoting Multilingual Education: Literacy For Mutual Understanding And Peace,” emphasizes the importance of multilingualism in achieving these goals.

One figure who has made significant strides in advancing literacy and education is His Royal Majesty King Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere, the founder and General Overseer of Omega Power Ministries (OPM). For over 15 years, King Chinyere has championed a vision of accessible education, driven by a belief that learning should be a universal right rather than a privilege.

Under his leadership, OPM has established no fewer than 36 free schools across Nigeria, which have become a lifeline for thousands of children from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
