Abuja, NIGERIA – The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has raised a red flag concerning the rampant circulation of fake Arla Dano 14g full cream Milk Powder in various states across Nigeria.

The alert, issued on Wednesday, revealed that investigations conducted by TG Arla Dairy Product Enterprise, the holder of the Certificate of Registration, unveiled the brazen display of counterfeit Dano milk products in the open market.

According to NAFDAC’s statement, zonal directors and state coordinators have been instructed to initiate surveillance efforts and eliminate the presence of these counterfeit products throughout the country. The agency strongly advises distributors, retailers, and consumers to exercise caution, carefully inspect the authenticity and physical condition of the products, and refrain from consumption, sale, or distribution if any doubts arise.

The statement emphasizes that individuals in possession of the counterfeit Arla Dano 14g full cream Milk Powder should promptly submit their stock to the nearest NAFDAC office. Additionally, anyone who has consumed the product or experienced adverse reactions is urged to seek immediate medical advice from a qualified healthcare professional.

NAFDAC encourages the public to report any suspected distribution or sale of counterfeit or unwholesome packaged food products to the nearest NAFDAC office, contact NAFDAC via phone at 0800-162-3322, or utilize the email address [email protected].
