It was also gathered that in his attempt to evade police arrest he vehemently confronted and violently assaulted the police officers who had come to issue him police invitation.

Reports say when the officers placed him on police invitation, he refused to comply and was uncooperative which made the police to place him on immediate arrest, which he resisted as he was violent and combative while resisting. After a great effort, the police were eventually able to secure his arrest and he has been transported to the Police Headquarters Abuja for further investigations and possible prosecution.

If indicted, Isiayi could face a maximum penalty of five years’ imprisonment for threat, felony counts and assault on the police.

Threatening someone with harm or death can result in serious penalties. It’s a crime even if you don’t intend to carry out the threat.
