Nigeria: Tinubu’s First Ministerial List Out

Four Ex-Govs, Seven Women, 17 Others Make List

Abuja, NIGERIA — The anticipated ministerial list President Bola Tinubu is finally out. The Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, formally presented the ministerial list of President Tinubu before the Senate on Thursday afternoon. The list, which had been the subject of much speculation and public interest, saw some prominent names, including former Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike.

At exactly 01:19 pm, Gbajabiamila, who previously served as the Speaker of the House of Representatives, handed over the ministerial list to the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio. The Senate President wasted no time and immediately proceeded to read out the names of the nominees before the assembled senators and the nation.

Among the individuals named in the ministerial list were the former Governor of Ebonyi State, Dave Umahi, and the presidential spokesman, Dele Alaka. Alongside them, Nyesom Wike’s inclusion in the list caught the attention of many, as it marks a significant political move.

Nyesom Wike, known for his strong leadership and influence in Rivers State during his tenure as governor, has been a vocal figure in Nigerian politics. His inclusion in President Tinubu’s ministerial list signals a potential collaboration between the two prominent politicians and has sparked interest among political analysts.
