Nigerian Books of Record Inducts Dr. Godwin Umontuen into the Hall of Fame

Abuja, NIGIERIA — The Nigerian Books of Record and Research Center Abuja has inducted Dr Godwin Umontuen, Founder and Chairman School of Nursing Science Obohia Ndoki into the Hall of Fame (Who’s Who) in Nigeria.

In a presentation ceremony held in his honour yesterday 17th August 2024 at the College of Nursing Sciences, Obohia Ndoki, Abia State, Nigerian Books of record recognized Dr. Umontuen’s outstanding contributions to the medical evolution in Nigeria’s education sector.

The induction ceremony which was chaired by Professor Sunday Chinenye, a renowned Professor of Medicine and Consultant Physician/Endocrinologist at the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital witnessed notable dignitaries including government representatives, Royal Majesties and Captains of industries.

The NBR noted Dr. Umontuen’s remarkable achievements in providing a value-adding platform for the training of nurses, midwives, and other medical professionals, significantly bridging the manpower gap in the nursing profession.

Dr. Umontuen’s induction into the NBR Hall of Fame is a testament to his dedication to excellence and selfless service. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Consultants Nigeria, Fellow of the Institute of Management Specialists, and Doctoral Fellow of the National Association for the Advancement of Knowledge. His institutions, including Maurid Polytechnic and the College of Nursing Sciences, have become beacons of excellence, providing access to quality education and improving healthcare outcomes.

The ceremony also witnessed the commissioning of several projects within the College of Nursing Sciences, a federal government-approved institution licensed by the National Board of Technical Education (NBTE) and accredited by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).

In the same vein, The Nigerian Books of record also conferred a fellowship award on Dr Godwin Umontuen.

In his acceptance speech, Dr. Umontuen expressed gratitude to the NBR team and promised to continue contributing to nation-building by developing future generations through his institutions.

The Nigerian Books of Record keeps track of record-breakers, impact makers, and change agents, aiming to document, celebrate, and honor remarkable achievements and excellent records of individuals. By honoring Dr. Umontuen, the NBR has recognized his outstanding contributions to education, healthcare, and community development in Nigeria.
