NSF 2022: Delta retains leading position, lakes in 146 gold, 78 silver, 51 bronze

Abuja Nigeria – As the ongoing 21st National Sports Festival tagged ‘Delta 2022’ holding in Asaba, Delta State, heading to the climax the host state and defending champions, Delta, still retains the leading position with 146 gold, 78 silver and 51 bronze.

Down the medal table are Teams Adamawa and Gombe with one bronze medal each, while Team Zamfara is yet to register any medal.

Team Bayelsa, Team Edo and Team Lagos are leaving no stone unturned, stepping up on the medal table from 4th, 5th and 7th positions to 2nd, 3rd and 4th spot respectively.

Teams Ogun and Oyo which were formerly occupying the 2nd and 3rd positions on the medal standings have now plunged to 6th and 5th place respectively.

The medal table at the end of Day 7 events yesterday shows Team Rivers occupying the 7th position with 72 medals (9 gold, 20 silver, 43 bronze), Imo – 8th with 25 medals (9 gold, 3 silver, 13 bronze), Abia – 9th with 27 medals (8 gold, 4 silver, 15 bronze) and Kano – 10th position with 38 medals (6 gold, 15 silver, 17 bronze).
