Peter Obi to speak at Chatham House London on Jan. 16, at 1:00pm to 2:00pm

As part of Chatham House program series of events examining Nigeria’s 2023 elections and political developments, Peter Obi, presidential candidate for the Labour Party, will on January 16, 2023, at 1:00pm to 2:00pm discus his vision for policy and governance reforms in Nigeria.

The program will be hosted by Dr Alex Vines, the Managing Director, Ethics, Risk and Resilience; Director, Africa Programme of Chatham House.

Nigeria is scheduled to hold presidential and national assembly elections on 25 February as well as governorship and other subnational elections on 11 March.

The elections end President Muhammadu Buhari’s two terms in office since his election in 2015 and mark the first time he is not a candidate in a presidential election in 20 years – an important marker in Nigeria’s trajectory of democratic consolidation.
