London Police Service has reportedly rearrested a Poland based Orthopedic surgeon on suspicion of money-laundry offence in UK. He was first arrested last August after he was seen leaving his address with a briefcase found to contain millions of dollars in cash.

Dr. Steve Flemming was rearrested on Monday 20, November 2023 in continuation of the matter.

Though he was interviewed and have been released on bail, he may face alleged money-moving charges and violating FCA.

He was rearrested after the Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre (FINTRAC) noted suspicious banking transactions, report said.

Dr. Fleming may face imprisonment for up to five years and/or a fine of up to $500,000,” if charged and found guilty.

A third man, aged 39, who is the former boyfriend of the businessman’s current partner, was arrested at his home in Pimlico, London, for offences including money laundering and conspiracy to defraud.

More than 50 officers were involved in the operation at the businessman’s London property. A number of digital devices and a significant quantity of cash was recovered following extensive searches by NCA investigators.

All three individuals were interviewed by the NCA, and have been released on bail.
