Enugu, NIGERIA — Edo State born entrepreneur, investor, and philanthropist, Chief Alhaji Adamu Mutairu, has offered a hearty congratulations to Engr Prince Lawrence Ezeh on his appointment as the Honorable Commissioner for Lands and Urban Development of Enugu State and commended Governor Peter Mbah for his selection of Commissioners “whch is a testament to the Governor’s commitment to bringing in capable and experienced individuals to serve the people of Enugu State.

Speaking to journalists in Enugu, Chief Alhaji Mutairu described the Prince of Mburubu Kingdom as a man with immense value for efficiency, effectiveness, transparency and open governance.

“We are confident that Prince Ezeh’s deep experience in range of domains will help the Governor accomplish what many thought was impossible,” he said, adding, “I aplaud the Enugu State Governor for his great choice of Prince Ezeh. The Governor has risen the bar for progressive values and his vision for the future is clear.”

In light of the Governor Mbah’s goals to provide for long-term, sustainable economic growth of the State, Chief Alhaji Mutair, describing Prince Ezeh as an inspirational, selfless and energising politician, said “there should be no doubt about his commitment. He is ready to take the steps necessary to achieve a comprehensive and operational new Enugu desired by the governor for the people of the State”

Underpinning Prince Ezeh antecedents, he added, “There is an axiom that what you do in the past that determine your future. Prince Lawrence Ezeh has worked very well for himself and for his state. Since I have known him he moved from stage to stage. I am very sure that, for the governor to have picked him to serve as a Commisioner, he has seen his antecedents. By his appointment it is clear that Governor Peter Mbah wishes the people of Enugu State well and he wants the best for them.”

When reminded that the governor set a two-year performance benchmark for the new Commissioners, Chief Alhaji Mutairu who expressed confidence on Prince Ezeh said, “he will perform before those two years. You will even be wowed by his performance before two years. And like I said, it was his performance in the private sector that made him visible. His dream has always been of how he is going to serve his people, how he is going to better the lives of Enugu people, and this is an opportunity given to him and I am sure he is going to do well.

He said the country is on an unsustainable path that “threatens our economies and our security. It is time to bring technocrats and democrats to launch a broad operational accord that will set us on a new course as Governor Peter Mbah has just done by his appointment of the likes of Prince Ezeh.”
