Prince Harry has “no interest” in resuming royal duties in the UK and is focused solely on his future in the United States, according to well-placed sources. Despite speculation driven by his efforts to stay in touch with old friends and his apparent desire to repair his relationship with King Charles, insiders confirm that Harry is content with his life in California and has no plans to return to royal responsibilities.

Sources close to the Duke have dismissed claims that he is seeking a fresh start or a role within the royal family. They assert that he is happy and settled in California, with a new circle of friends and several upcoming projects.

Although he has maintained contact with a select group of former advisers from his UK life, including Ed Lane Fox, who remains involved with the Invictus Games, these contacts have expressed surprise at suggestions of a royal comeback.

They are unaware of any “blueprint” for a potential return, as reported by The Mail on Sunday.

Can Harry Mend Ties With His Royal Relatives?

Harry has also kept in touch with a few old friends from his school days, though many relationships have faded over time, particularly since his marriage and subsequent relocation.

The loyal friends who remain in his life are mostly those he has made more recently rather than from his earlier years.

As he approaches his 40th birthday next week, Harry may be reflecting on his life choices and the relationships he has left behind, including with his father and brother. While he has expressed a desire to reunite with King Charles, there have been conflicting narratives about efforts to establish contact and who might be rebuffing whom.

Security concerns continue to be a significant issue, as Harry’s visits to the UK are complicated by the lack of automatic police protection. He is awaiting a court date for his appeal against a High Court ruling regarding this matter.

His recent low-key visit to the UK for his uncle Lord Fellowes’ funeral demonstrated that he can manage discreet visits with minimal security risks, potentially paving the way for more such trips.

Despite ongoing rifts with his family, Harry is reportedly very happy in the US and focused on looking forward rather than back.

He is preparing for engagements in New York later this month, coinciding with the UN General Assembly’s High-level Week and the city’s Climate Week. His activities will include work with charities such as African Parks, the Halo Trust, the Diana Award, and Travalyst.

Harry is also heavily involved in the planning for the next Invictus Games, set to take place in Vancouver and Whistler in February next year, and is working on new projects through Archewell, including a support group for parents whose children have suffered harm online.

Reports that Harry is plotting a return to the UK with a partial reinstatement to royal duties appear to be unfounded. Sources close to him stress that he and Meghan Markle are not considering a permanent move back to the UK.

As the Prince and Princess of Wales prepare their children to return to school after their summer break at Balmoral, speculation continues about Prince George’s future educational path, with suggestions that he might attend Eton College, following in his father’s footsteps, rather than his mother’s preferred choice of Marlborough College.
