BREAKING: Prince of Mburubu Loses Mother

The Mburubu Kingdom in Nkanu East Local Government Area in Enugu State, is in a heavy heart following the passing away of her Queen, HRM Queen Nwakaego Josephine.

Queen Josephine, revered and cherished by the kingdom, breathed her last on Thursday, March 7, 2024, in Port Harcourt Hospital at the age of 79.

The solemn news of her demise was conveyed by the Palace through an official statement by her son, Engr Prince Lawrence Ezeh PhD. who also holds the esteemed position of the Enugu State Commissioner for Innovation, Science and Technology.

“The Palace of Igwe E.M.O. Ezeh, Ozurumba I of Mburubu Kingdom, announces the passing of the Queen of Mburubu Kingdom, Queen Josephine Nwakaego Ezeh, wife of the His Royal Majesty, Igwe E.M.O. Ezeh of blessed memories”

“The Queen died peacefully on Thursday, 7th of March 2024 in Port Harcourt, Rivers State at the age of 79.

Her sudden demise is an irreplaceable loss in an inauspicious season. It is painful, but glorious in the sight of the Lord when a faithful person dies. May God Almighty give all of us, including Mburubu Kingdom and the Royal Family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss. According to the Palace, the Queen’s burial arrangements will be announced soon”

As the kingdom grieves this profound loss, preparations for Queen Josephine’s final rites are underway. The Palace assures that the details of her burial arrangements will be disseminated in due course.

Queen Josephine Ezeh, affectionately remembered as the dear mother of the current Enugu State Commissioner for Innovation, Science, and Technology, Engr Prince Lawrence Ezeh, fondly referred to as “The Prince Mburubu,” leaves behind a legacy of grace, compassion, and unwavering dedication to her kingdom and family.”
