Scores Die In Boat Mishap Kebbi State

Least 17 people found dead after boat capsized in Senegal

Abuja, NIGERIA —No fewer than nine persons have reportedly died from a boat that capsized in Karya Village of Maiyama Local Government Area of Kebbi State.

In a press statement made available to newsmen Thursday by the Chief Press Secretary to the Kebbi State Governor, Ahmed Idris stated that the Governor who was not in the State when the incident occurred quickly dispersed members of his advisory Council to the Village to console with them.

Led by the his Special Adviser on Political Affairs and Power, Alhaji Kabiru Giant told the Villagers that loss of their dear ones was not only for the deceased families, but a loss for the entire state, prayed that the Almighty Allah will forgive all their shortcomings and admit them into Jannatul Firdaus.

The delegation offered special prayers for the souls of the deceased and other departed souls and also prayed that Almighty Allah to give the families the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
