The world is brimming with ambitious political leaders, but sadly very few matchups to the traits of good leadership. In fact, many political leaders appear to be severely lacking in some of the most essential qualities of a good leader, such as integrity and accountability. It’s no coincidence that the word “politician” has many negative connotations. But experience tells us that there is only a handful that comes near to the principles of leadership and shows strong indicators of successful political leaders. His Excellency, Senator Dr. Chimaroke Nnamani, is among this few. As a Governor of Enugu State – 1999-2002, his developmental strata remained unbeaten by the past and present leadership of Enugu State. Yes, he did more than any other politician of his generation to ensure that his State got better after several years of Military mess in the country. He visionary development was focused on the State’s long-term betterment, above and beyond any short-term personal gains. The gains of his administration is what the people of Enugu enjoy today.

A good leader have to experience a lot of different situations and emotions. Some times everything is in a progressive mode, but some other time it will be showing up a terrible down run. A good leader stands still in all the circumstances and faces all the challenges. This, the prize of leadership lChimaroke has paid. He is now judged with the lives and outlooks of ordinary people he touched as a Governor.

He is very well regarded in Enugu State and he is much liked by this people. He did what he could for them within the limits of his power in office as Governor and they even bestowed upon him a nickname, Ebeano, which is a high accolade to him, and one which he much enjoys till date
