Delta, NIGERIA — Senator (Dr.) Prince Ned Nwoko, the Founder and Chancellor of Sports University of Nigeria, Idumuje-Ugboko, Delta State has awarded full scholarship to the entire pioneer students of the University.

The Nigerian servicing Senator and Antarctica Explorer, announced the scholarship to the exciting students during his routine visit to the university recently.

The scholarship grants 100% tuition coverage for 2024/2026 Academic Session for all the pioneer students currently in their second year (200 level), while also providing significant tuition reductions for incoming students. This scholarship is a response to the economic pressures faced by many Nigerian families, reflecting his deep commitment to making education more accessible during challenging times.

With Nigeria grappling with economic difficulties exacerbated by global conditions, the burden of education costs has become increasingly heavy for families.

“We are all aware of the financial challenges facing parents today,” Senator Nwoko said. “Education should not be a privilege; it should be a right. The scholarship aims to ensure that every child has the opportunity to pursue their dreams without any financial constraints.”

Despite its state-of-the-art facilities, diverse academic programs, and esteemed faculties, the University maintains an affordable tuition structure, with total fees—including tuition fee, sundry fees and accommodation—being less than N500,000.
