Today, Sunday September 29, 2024, the editorial team of Time Africa Magazine, led by Editor-in-Chief Chidipeters Okorie, had the honor of meeting His Royal Majesty, King Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere, General Overseer of Omega Power Ministries (OPM) at the Church headquarters in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. The occasion was marked by the official presentation of a letter of Award of Who’sWho Africa, scheduled to take place in Abuja on October 29, 2024.

Arriving at Port Harcourt International Airport, our team made our way to the expansive OPM premises, a site that embodies both grandeur and grace. The church’s auditorium is a breathtaking structure, capable of accommodating over 100,000 worshippers, and it was filled to capacity. The atmosphere was electric, with an overwhelming tide of voices lifted in songs of praise, creating a surreal blend of worship and communion.

As soon as King Apostle Chibuzor, Ihie I of Ikwuorie community stepped out of his sleek Lemo G55 AMG, adorned in traditional regal attire and a royal crown, the atmosphere shifted. His entrance was a profound manifestation of both spiritual authority and humble leadership. Upon ascending the pulpit, the crown—a symbol of his divine mission as the King of Ikwuorie Kingdom—was respectfully removed, fostering an immediate connection with the congregation, who were eager for a transformative experience.

The sermon that followed was a powerful testament to his divine calling. Apostle Chibuzor spoke fervently about the omnipotence of God’s healing hands, declaring that no chain or curse was too strong to be broken. His impassioned words reverberated throughout the auditorium, igniting a fervor among the congregation. As he preached, chains of bondage were metaphorically shattered, and many experienced profound liberation. The church transformed into a sanctuary of healing and joy, with uplifting testimonies and exuberant “Amen” shouts resonating through the air.

His prayer, “Oh God Arise,”‘ was met with a thunderous response from the congregation, a clear signal of their collective yearning for divine intervention. In that sacred moment, the very essence of heaven seemed to envelop the gathering, further invigorating the spirit of worship.

Beyond his powerful preaching, Apostle Chibuzor’s influence extends deeply beyond Africa.

Prior to seeing the King, the Time Africa team visited many of the OPM Free Schools, which highlighted his unwavering commitment to social justice and community upliftment. Kenneth Nwachi, his Special Assistant on Media, provided a comprehensive overview of the church’s humanitarian initiatives. With over 1,000 orphans and underprivileged children residing in his personal home, the scale of his outreach is both inspiring and humbling.

Apostle Chibuzor’s scholarship programs span from nursery to university levels, ensuring that thousands of children gain access to quality education. His commitment to rehabilitating former militants, robbers, and prostitutes through skill acquisition and empowerment programs underscores a deep belief in redemption and transformation.

Apostle Chibuzor’s audacious vision to lead one billion people to Christ is not merely a lofty ambition; it is a mission firmly rooted in faith and action. His mantra, “Dr. Jesus in Action,” encapsulates his approach to ministry, urging followers to embody Christ’s teachings through tangible acts of love and service.

In a world filled with challenges, the audacity of HRM King Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere shines brightly as a beacon of hope. His pastoral care and visionary leadership inspire countless individuals to pursue both spiritual growth and social responsibility. Through his ministry, he continues to break chains, heal wounds, and uplift communities, illustrating that true leadership lies in the audacity to serve and love unconditionally.
