The Feminine Voice, a non-governmental organization dedicated to advancing women’s rights in Nigeria, has awarded Chief Uchenna Okafor, the Delta State Director General of Taskforce and Monitoring for the Commercial Motorcycle and Tricycle Operators Association (COMTOA), the prestigious “Women Choice Award – Most Gender Friendly Personality of the Year.”

The award was presented in a ceremony at Chief Okafor’s office in Asaba, Delta State. Sandra Jonathan, the Director of The Feminine Voice, led the presentation and highlighted Chief Okafor’s significant contributions to both the socio-economic development of the state and his remarkable service to humanity.

In her speech, Jonathan commended Chief Okafor for his tireless efforts in creating a more inclusive environment, particularly for women in the transport sector, where women are often marginalized.

She noted that under his leadership, many women have gained better opportunities in the commercial motorcycle and tricycle sectors, which have traditionally been male-dominated.
