The Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Soludo has harped on the need for value oriented leadership in all the Southeast states while calling on stakeholders in the zone to give massive support to the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, as it is the only party that will give Ndigbo the desired negotiating power.

Professor Soludo made the call when the governorship candidate of APGA in Abia State for the 2023 general election, Professor Greg Ibeh paid him a consultative visit at the Governor’s Lodge, Amawbia, following the successful conclusion of the primary election of the party.

Prof. Ibeh led an entourage made up of critical stakeholders in Abia, including the State Working Committee of APGA in Abia State, among others.

Receiving Prof Greg Ibeh and his team, Professor Soludo maintained the need to strengthen APGA through formidable alliances and noted that APGA is not just a platform to win elections but a movement, that APGA is the first registered progressive party in the country whose mission is to promote true federalism in the country.

According to Prof. Soludo, the election of the Presidency has grown beyond being a social media thing, saying that it is time for Ndi Igbo to calibrate their approach because election will only be won by forming methodical, systematic, concrete networks and alliances.

The Governor asked some South easterners who are dissipating into other platforms to come back under APGA to expand the frontiers of development and revealed that the bulk votes in the country are in the South West and North West, and not elsewhere.

While stating that salvaging the country from decadence should be a down to up approach strategy, Professor Soludo welcomed Prof. Ibeh into APGA which he described as a movement and the third force, from where projection into the National will be done.

He assured to give the necessary support for APGA to achieve victory during the election in Abia State, adding that Abia truly needs a visionary leader such as Prof. Ibeh to achieve it’s true potentials.

He called on all the candidates who contested the primary election in Abia state to demonstrate the spirit of sportsmanship to salvage the State.

Earlier, Professor Ibeh while noting that his ambition is selfless, maintained that with like minds at the Southeast leadership, the zone will be more prosperous with a common positive objective.

He assured to always be supportive to Anambra State government maintaining that his interest is building a greater future for Ndi Abia and the entire Igbo land.

Prof. Ibeh noted that he had worked at different levels in the country and beyond, pointing out that his investment and contribution to Abia under his former political party wasn’t appreciated, until he was eventually called back to APGA platform. He expressed optimism that APGA will start to take over the reigns of power in the country, starting from South East states.

Mr Austin Ehimere, Abia State APGA Chairman noted that the primary election that produced Prof Greg Ibeh was, free fair and transparent stressing that APGA, Abia State is set to take over leadership of Abia State.

He maintained that APGA is ready to provide quality leadership to ndi Abia State and thanked Governor Soludo for receiving them with open arms.

Mr Ehimere presented a gift of holy bible to Governor Soludo and also a flash drive to enable him see how the primary election went.
